First things first, I’m an English major. Glad to be here. I’d like to thank wine, coffee, and reading glasses. It hasn’t been an easy journey, but it certainly has been rewarding. The most rewarding part? Correcting my friends’ grammar until they might as well be English majors, too! Collateral damage.
Second things second, I’m also a Digital Studies minor. Part of this came from wanting more in life than to boast the angsty title of “struggling writer.” From a practical perspective, I wanted to chisel down the Shakespeare statue that was my college career into something shiny and chic. I mean, all the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely want the corner office, right?
Down in the trenches of my Digital Studies coursework (I also have some interest in Drama, too), I learned a lot of useful skills like how to use Final Cut Pro X, how to create websites like the glamorous one you’re looking at, how to code a bit, and how to tinker with graphics a lot. But when I came up for air after playing with fonts for four hours at a time, I had a newfound passion and pride in my craft.
So if you’re still here, I’m certainly not one to discourage you from getting off the computer any time soon. Take a look around! Some of my work is showcased within the site, and if you’d like to get in touch, please feel free; you can do so right on my contact page. Itching to know more about me? (Are you procrastinating on something? If you answered “NO,” read on! If you answered “YES,” read on! And then check out what music I listen to on my Spotify page! And here’s my Pinterest!)
